At our in-house manufacture, you are guaranteed leather craftsmanship at the highest level.
We have 40 talented artisans with years of experience in luxury crafts. All work together to produce high quality luxury leather products and bring our customers' visions to life. The family company in the third generation concentrates on the essentials: creating independent value products that are borne by a true passion for leather and a love of craftsmanship.
Our craftsmen all believe that craftsmanship is a life's work that must be mastered and is passed on through decades of experience. Good craftsmanship only grows with time.
All bags and accessories are designed in our own atelier and handcrafted in our workshops from high-quality tanned leather. We work with European rawhide from established tanneries in Italy. Every step is done by hand. Every YOUBAG creation is a unique work of art with a lot of passion for perfection.
What is slow fashion?
To understand slow fashion, we first need to take a close look at fast fashion. A few decades ago something changed in the fashion industry. Shopping was no longer just an occasional event, but an event that happened weekly, even daily. Suddenly everything accelerated. The clothes got cheaper and we bought more. This is fast fashion. People are slowly realizing that she has a dark side. In the past few years we have become aware of the real facts of fast fashion. A wave of change is coming as consumers become more aware of the truth about the fashion industry.
Slow fashion aims to produce higher quality and more durable garments. The focus here is on treating people, animals and the planet fairly. At YOUBAG we turn our backs on mass production, fast fashion and unethical circumstances.
The production of YOUBAG bags is very different from others, as each piece is unique and handcrafted and we do not work with series production. In series production, a craftsman has only one task to perform and repeats this task continuously. However, our artisans are all capable of finishing an entire leather product from start to finish. In this way, every craftsman brings his own handwriting with him. Thanks to traditional, classic manufacturing methods, our products are of higher quality and last longer. This ancient craft has been forgotten over the years because it takes too much time and labor. This does not correspond to the fast fashion model. We are again focusing on art in fashion. The skills of our craftsmen are recognized accordingly.

Now a little bit about our leather
At YOUBAG we love, respect and value leather. Our leather ONLY comes from European hides, most from established tanneries in Italy. We do not offer fur or exotic leather here at YOUBAG and we will never offer it either.
We only work with the most reliable tanneries that use environmentally friendly and resource-saving processes that meet the requirements of EU standards.
Since the welfare of the animals is also a central concern of YOUBAG, we ensure that our tanneries share our commitment to humane treatment of animals and are transparent about origin and production. Our business model is based on the ethical and sustainable principles of the textile industry. We offer you as a customer the opportunity to make purchasing decisions that are in line with your own ethics and your commitment to sustainability.
We make sure that our hides are natural and of European origin. This way, they don't have to travel long distances to get to the tanneries. This helps to reduce the harmful environmental impact of transportation and burning of fossil fuels.
SUSTAINABILITY
High recycling rates
By definition, leather is already a natural by-product made by the meat or food industry. In this case it is called “waste material”. The leather industry's use of this by-product contributes to its high recycling rate.
By recycling this material for further use, we are giving leather a second life that we hope will last for many generations. In fact, a high quality leather bag will last an average of 3 to 4 times longer than a bag made from a different material. When leather is finished in an environmentally friendly way, it is an extremely sustainable product.
